Flight Sim Centre

Today we welcome Flight Sim Centre to our Green Pin membership, where additional information about their venue and simulators is provided for our readers; hopefully at some point leading to a visit from one of our reviewers for a full featured venue review.

Flight Sim Centre reached out to us recently and updated us with information about what they provide, in particular their B737 – which we cover below. We trust this information will help our readers in finding the best simulator for their needs and we hope you will show your support by visiting them next time you are in Newcastle; we are certainly looking forward to visiting in the future.

The Simulators

Flight Simulator Centre has an impressive nine simulator setup, making it one of the largest simulator providers to the public in Europe. The star attraction for us of course is the Boeing 737-800, with its six person passenger cabin for friends and family. The Boeing has an impressive 220 degree plus UHD wrap-around visual setup. With the added tactial vibration system and hydraulically based flight controls, an immersive offering is provided for the flight enthusiast.

What we also like to see now days is the live hook-up to VATSIM and to real-time weather. These additions help provide a more realistic environment for the budding airline pilot.

In addition to the B737 Flight Sim Centre has eight other simulators, these being a:

  • Supermarine Spitfire;
  • Messerschmitt Bf 109;
  • McDonnell Douglas F/A-18 Hornet;
  • Bell 206 Jet Ranger Helicopter (as far as we know the only one available to the public in the UK);
  • Piper PA28 Cherokee (including two rear passenger seats for spectators);
  • 4D Full Motion Racing Car Simulator; and
  • virtual reality gaming experience.

Both the Spitfire and Bf 109 can have two people in a dogfight together at the same time for the ultimate shared experience.

The Venue

Located just a few miles away from New Castle International Airport (IATA: NCL, ICAO: EGNT), there is ample off-street parking provided for customers. Along with a comfortable waiting area and the six person cabin connected to the B737, those coming along with the budding pilot are also well catered for.

The Staff and Business

In addition to catering for flight enthusiasts and gift experiences (vouchers are valid for two years), Flight Sim Centre can also help with birthday parties and corporate events.

We are looking forward to visiting the Flight Sim Centre sometime in the future and completing a full review, adding them to our Featured Venue Blue Pin listing. We thank Neil for reaching out to us and providing more information about his venue for our readers.
