Flight Pad

Flight Pad

FlightPad is the first of the new “Green Pin” venues on our global database. The green pin means we can provide you the reader with even more information about the venue, before we visit them in the future and promoting them as a Featured Venue on our site. The information below has been provided directly from FlightPad. You can find further details through their website or social media channels, full details below.

If you would like to join our team to be part of our exciting new business please get in touch with us on our Contact Us page.

The Simulators

FlightPad boasts a brand new, fixed base Boeing 737NG simulator. It contains fully functioning flight controls that allow you to experience the unique thrill of flying an airliner. The visual display uses highly immersive wrap around projection, providing seamless graphics and an illusion that you’re moving! Our extensive weather and airport functionality allow you to take flight from anywhere in the world, come rain, shine, snow or gale – we have it all covered! Why not make an approach into Heathrow and appreciate the breath-taking views of London landmarks along the way? The audio is truly convincing and you can literally feel the rumble beneath your feet during take-off. In summary, our FlightPad sessions are the fully-loaded simulator experience!

The Venue

The simulator is conveniently located at the University of West London campus in Ealing. FlightPad is proud to be one of only a few simulators situated in London. The venue is a mere 10-minute walk from bustling Ealing Broadway high street, and easily accessible by tube from nearby South Ealing or Ealing Broadway station.

Upon entering the modern UWL building, you will sign in at reception and meet your instructor who will escort you to the FlightPad departure lounge. Stepping into the lounge, you’ll immediately be struck by the aviation decor which runs throughout: from aircraft wallpapers; to airport terminal signs; and shelves displaying special aviation memorabilia. This fresh, well-lit lounge is a great place to unwind, with comfortable chairs and a complimentary coffee machine for you to enjoy.

After your briefing, you’ll be taken into the simulator room which features the cockpit, an instructor’s desk and space for up to 4 guests to come and observe. Unlike conventional simulators, FlightPad is very spacious, so you won’t feel confined during your session. After your flight, why not take a look around the on-site Heathrow Exhibition: a fascinating archive where you can discover how this iconic airport became the UK’s hub for aviation?

Access into the simulator is somewhat restricted. If you are in a wheelchair or have mobility
issues, please contact the FlightPad team to discuss your individual requirements.

The Staff and Business

Our instructors range from private pilots through to commercial pilots, so rest assured that you’ll always be flying with an aviator. Our sessions are designed for enthusiasts as well as career developers who want a full insight into operating a modern jet airliner.

Here at FlightPad, we believe in providing you with a memorable experience whatever your intentions. Whether you’re curious about how to fly an airliner, or want to take your career to the next level, our tailored courses will always put you first.

Our instructors are approachable, love answering your questions and ultimately want you to have fun!
